Joe Luna has over 20 years of Information Security experience in various operational and leadership roles where he has established a track record of managing complex, enterprise-wide initiatives to satisfy regulatory and business requirements while keeping the security posture of a fully functional organization at an acceptable level.

Mr. Luna maintains current industry accreditations such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).

By utilizing past experiences spanning a wide range of areas including Strategic Planning and Policy Development, Education and Training, Security Architecture, Assurance and Compliance, Vulnerability Assessment and Management, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Threat Analysis, Exploitation Analysis and Digital Forensics, Mr. Luna is able to offer a deep understanding and clear vision of an ideal Information Security program to an organization.

Mr. Luna sits on various Information Security centric advisory boards including the Western Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and CyberWatch West. Mr. Luna is also one of the organizers for the Security BSidesLA conference and has managed Red Team activities for the WRCCDC since 2008.

Mr. Luna served as Director of Information Security for one of the nation’s largest Internet Service Providers where his team was responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of more than 50 million member records.

In a recent engagement Mr. Luna was responsible for security architecture and design in an organization that processes 65 billion transactions annually, tallying $6.9 trillion dollars.
